Functional health is an individualized, patient-centered approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of chronic disease. It involves a detailed investigation of each patient's genetic, biochemical, and lifestyle factors through examination and laboratory tests. Patient care is personalized based upon specialty diagnostic labs and lifestyle factors.
Our practice is out-of-network and does not bill insurance directly, but we can provide receipts for services rendered that patients may submit to their insurance for potential reimbursement. Dr. Skidmore does not provide Super Bills for patients.
We do not bill Medicare/Medicaid but can provide care for patients on a self-pay basis.
You can use your FSA/HSA accounts to pay for eligible healthcare services and treatments at our practice.
Dr. Skidmore personalizes her care for each patient. Costs vary due to appointment frequency, customized lab panels and nutraceutical care provided. The financial options will be provided during your consultation. Patients are seen on a pay-per-appointment basis, allowing for flexibility and convenience based on individual needs. Payment is due at the time of service or when labs are ordered. We do not offer packages / memberships. A financial overview is reviewed during the free 15-min phone consultation.
Dr. Skidmore sees her patients on an individualized basis. After a new patient exam, Dr. Skidmore orders labs which are typically finalized within two weeks and then reviewed at a follow-up appointment. Future follow-up appointments are scheduled on a personalized frequency based upon the lab findings. Labs are often retested between 3mo-6mo. After addressing specific health issues, Dr. Skidmore sees her patients on an as needed basis and at an annual physical.
Dr. Skidmore will want to review those with you. All previous labs are asked to be brought in at your new patient exam. Blood and specialty labs may be ordered in addition to properly identify the root of your health issues.
